What is the Happy Helper service?

We understand being a parent is rewarding but also stressful. Parents are not only nurturers but also cooks, cleaners, lunchbox packers, drivers, and superheroes!

Happy Kiddies strives to make life easier for parents. Therefore, with our Happy Helper service, we assist with household duties while you get some work done, finally catch up with friends, or even while you take a much deserved nap!

Duties we can assist with include, but are not limited to:

  • Doing the dishes

  • Washing and folding laundry

  • Meal preparation

  • Grocery shopping

  • Re-organising the kitchen pantry

Contact us to arrange this. You can even gift this service to a friend with a lovely gift voucher!

3.

Do you have back-up babysitters?

Yes we do! If one babysitter isn't available we will arrange another one for you, however this is not guaranteed.

5.

Do your babysitters work on public holidays?

Yes, our babysitters are available to work on public holidays, however, penalty rates apply.

Please contact us to discuss this further.

7.

Are your babysitters qualified?

All our babysitters have their:

  • DCSI/Working With Children Clearance

  • National Police Clearance

  • First Aid Certificate

  • CPR (including babies)

  • Drivers license and own vehicle

  • Current vaccinations

Our tutors have their:

  • DCSI/Working With Children Clearance

  • Current vaccinations

Our tutors are either studying at university or are already qualified.  Depending what subject, task or assignment your child needs assistance with, we can match with the babysitter or tutor most experienced in that topic! Contact us to arrange this.

2.

Can I share a babysitter with my friend?

Yes, you can share a babysitter with a friend during school holidays or other arranged times.

We understand school holidays can be fun for the kids but hectic for the parents! Therefore, to make things easier, we have a holiday special!

You can share your babysitter with a friend (or two), so instead of paying for two babysitters, you and your friends share one!

For example; we allow one babysitter to care for 4 children at a time, if you have two children, your friend has two and your other friend has one, then instead of paying for three separate babysitters, you can share two babysitters and split the price!

To find out more, please contact us.

4.

Should I have insurance for the babysitter?

Nope, not necessary.

Our babysitters are employees and therefore the responsibility of  work cover insurance lies with Happy Kiddies.

Although, it is the responsibility of the parents to ensure the vehicle (if the babysitter is required to use the family vehicle) is covered with insurance, regularly serviced and in a clean condition.

6.

Do I have to pay per child?

No, our prices are not based on the number of children, however, we do limit 4 children per babysitter.

This way, we are positive that the babysitter can care for the children as best as possible, and each child will receive one-on-one attention.
